Eligibility
To keep this service available for people who need it most, we ask all visitors to:

  • Bring a current Centrelink Income Statement and formal photo identification, such as a passport, drivers lisense, on your first visit
  • Provide an updated Centrelink Income Statement once a month showing you receive under $1,000 dollars per fortnight in financial support

On your first visit, one of our team members will sit down with you to find out more about your situation and needs so we can understand how to support you best.

Please note: if you choose to use Oakdene Kitchen support, you will no longer be able to be a member of Fairfield RSL.

What we offer

  • A free hot lunch
  • Breakfast packs and fresh fruit when available
  • A friendly, safe space to sit and enjoy a meal
  • Connection with staff, volunteers and community supports
  • Information about other Oakdene programs

Who the Kitchen is for

  • People experiencing food insecurity
  • People on low income or receiving Centrelink payments
  • People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Anyone doing it tough and needing support
